Conference workshops – spaces still available
Spaces are still available for all four Brisbane conference workshops – the year’s most intensive upskilling opportunity for Australian medical writers. The workshops cover tips for freelancers on how to build and maintain a successful business; writing attention-grabbing digital content; using evidence-based medicine to write great stories and; how specialists and researchers can ditch the jargon, cut the word count and write interesting content for a general audience.

AMWA’s professional development program allows members to hone existing skills and develop new ones through intensive 3-hour face-to-face workshops at our annual conferences, and highly interactive webinar workshops and online lectures offered throughout the year.
On completion of eight workshops, AMWA members become eligible for the AMWA PDP certificate, which is not a qualification, but rather an indicator of the member’s commitment to continuing education in the area of medical writing.
We offer a mix of workshops that focus on the basic tools of our trade such as grammar and clear writing, and more specialised topics such as writing for multicultural communities and blogging.
